Project 90

Language Institute Building Project

About the Project
Teaching English has proved an effective means for Christians to share their faith with Muslim students around the world.  Over past decades ReachAcross has set up, run and taught in language institutes in several countries in Africa and the Middle East.  This project takes forward many years of mission work and teaching English in an Arab country where hundreds of students can meet with Christian teachers, and therefore hear the Gospel and see how Christians demonstrate their faith through their lives. In this location, building a new facility for language learning (mainly English and Arabic), will mean the language institute will no longer have to pay high and ever-increasing rents.  It will help establish a training institute where native or excellent English speakers (especially TEFL-trained teachers) can come and teach for a year or more (with some shorter term possibilities), and hence serve the local people in their education as well as sharing the gospel, help nurture new believers and eventually plant churches in this land where 99.9% of people are Muslim and have not yet received the gospel.

The target amount on this fundraising page is for total funds we seek to raise by 31st March, 2024. If this project becomes fully funded ReachAcross will use the donations raised where needed most. If for any reason this project fails, ceases to operate, or in any other way is curtailed, ReachAcross reserves the right to use any funds raised on similar projects or where needed most. Donating with Stewardship Fundraising is easy and secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Important: When using this donate button which links to our fundraising pages, if you are leaving any comments, then for the safety of our mission workers and their contacts, please do not mention the names or locations of any ReachAcross mission workers or their associates. Thank you.
