HomeFeatured ProjectWest Africa Famine Relief – target £5,000

About the Project

According to the United Nations, the hunger crisis in the African Sahel zone threatens to worsen. Almost six million people in Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal do not have enough to eat. Acute malnutrition in the six countries has increased by 50% compared to the previous year.

Our missionaries in the Sahel region can substantiate this report and are well placed to work alongside local Christians and churches to distribute food aid to those most in need.  This demonstrates compassion and care from local Christians to local Muslim neighbours, as well as helping the local Christians survive the drought.  This practical demonstration of love towards neighbour can be a powerful witness to the gospel.

The target amount for this project is £5,000 to be raised in the UK.

If this project becomes fully funded, any excess donations may be used towards another ReachAcross project or where needed most. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give.

Important: When using this donate button which links to our fundraising pages, if you are leaving any comments, then for the safety of our mission workers and their contacts, please do not mention the names or locations of any ReachAcross mission workers or their associates if you happen to know them. Thank you!
